The House
AnatolianCraft is a design-led brand working with traditional handcraft.
Founded in Istanbul, the brand is shaped by a long-standing interest in material culture, craftsmanship, and the role of objects in everyday life. What began with a small number of handcrafted pieces has gradually evolved into a broader collection, built around the idea of wearable art.
AnatolianCraft draws from the layered cultural history of the region, where different civilizations have coexisted over centuries. Influences range from Ottoman refinement to Byzantine craftsmanship, as well as a wider Anatolian craft tradition. These references are not reproduced directly, but reinterpreted through contemporary forms and proportions.
Hand embroidery is central to the process. Each piece is developed in collaboration with women artisans working from their own homes, using techniques passed down over generations. Production remains intentionally small-scale, allowing for a considered approach to detail and construction.
The collections reflect a balance between Eastern decorative expression and the clarity of modern silhouettes. Traditional forms and motifs are adapted into a more current design language, creating pieces that feel both rooted and relevant.
Materials are selected for their quality and character, including handwoven textiles and carefully sourced fabrics. Surface work and embellishment are treated as part of the design, rather than an addition.
Each piece is designed to be worn in everyday life, while carrying a distinct sense of character. The focus is on creating objects that are both functional and expressive, with an emphasis on longevity.
Today, AnatolianCraft continues to develop collections shaped by cultural depth and a contemporary point of view.
